Two heaters built for the same goal
The Original Wax Heater was designed to make hot waxing simple for riders at home. It heats the wax and lets you manually move the chain through the wax so it gets fully coated.
The Performance Wax Heater does the same thing, but automates more of the process.
Instead of manually moving the chain around in the wax, the new heater handles the process for you. You simply place the chain in the Spool, put it on the heater, press the button, and the system runs the full waxing cycle automatically. We’ve made sure that part is taken care of.

From swizzle wire to Spool
One of the biggest changes is the introduction of the Cyclowax Spool.
On the Original Heater, riders use the Swizzle Wire to move the chain through the wax. It works very well, but it’s a manual process. With the Performance Wax Heater, the chain sits neatly wound around the spool. The Spool keeps the chain compact and perfectly positioned inside the heater.
The result is a cleaner and simpler process every time you wax your chain.
A much more travel-friendly system
Another improvement is how compact the new system is. With the Original Heater, you use a separate stand to hang the chain after waxing so it can cool down and drip off excess wax. It works great, but it adds some bulk when traveling.
The Spool solves that.
After the waxing cycle, you simply lift the Spool out and let the chain drip in the drip dock. No separate hanger needed. This makes the whole system much smaller and much easier to pack when you travel.
Automatic cleaning with vibration
The Performance Wax Heater also adds something new: active cleaning. Once the wax melts and the chain is fully submerged, a vibrating motor starts shaking the chain inside the wax bath. This vibration helps remove dirt from inside the chain while fresh wax fills every tiny space.
That means you get both deep cleaning and waxing in one automated cycle.

Both heaters deliver the same end result: a perfectly waxed chain. The difference is how the process happens. With the Original Heater, you manually move the chain through the wax.
